OUR HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE NOGUCHI MUSEUM!
It was a dazzling exhibition!!!
And although this very, very good thing has had to come to an end in Queens, we can all start making plans for travelling to Michigan for the Cranbrook Art Museum version of the exhibition opening on October 9th, in Bloomfield Hills.

AND GO TO BOSTON! see a great show AT THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
The MFA has really outdone itself with a deeply perceptive exhibition of the work of Toshiko Takaezu. The exhibition opened on Sept. 30, 2023 and will be open until Sept. 29, 2024.
This interesting collaboration between the MFA and the Noguchi Museum provides an enriching and enlightening perspective on Takaezu’s work; and in addition to simultaneous exhibitions of the work of the same artist, the same exceptional monograph — Toshiko Takaezu: Worlds Within — functions as a catalog to each exhibition. The photographs are superb and the Art Historical and Biographical essays are exceptional.
“In my life I see no difference between making pots, cooking and growing vegetables. They are all so related. However, there is a need for me to work in clay. It is so gratifying and I get so much joy from it, and it gives me many answers in my life.”
— TOSHIKO TAKAEZU
